Jakarta - Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important role in the national economy. In addition to absorbing workers, MSMEs also contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 61.07 percent.
2021 will be a bright year for MSME businesses because the Covid-19 pandemic is gradually easing and the economic recovery starts to emerge. According to Teten Masduki, the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, 85% of MSME businesses got better in the second quarter of 2021.
One of the Sustainability Frameworks of PT Cisadane Sawit Raya Tbk is Local Capabilities, which the Company distributes assistance for the development and self-sufficiency of businesses around the operational area.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, PT Samukti Karya Lestari, a subsidiary of PT Cisadane Sawit Raya Tbk, has distributed Local Capabilities assistance to MSMEs LKP Pardede Tailor located in Hutaraja Village, South Tapanuli, North Sumatra.
The assistance delivered of two sewing machines and one ‘sirsak’ machine, which were handed over by PR & Legal Assistant Mr. Eldi Rizqi as well as the Regent of South Tapanuli Mr. H. Dolly Pasaribu and received by the MSME Leader, Mrs. Imeldiana Pardede.
In attendance were the sub-district head of Muara Batang Toru, the village head and the sub-district head of Muara Batang Toru, as well as the management of the Tondi Cooperative Mr. Awaluddin Tanjung and Mr. Selamat Nasution.
The Regent of South Tapanuli appreciated the contribution of the Company, especially PT Samukti Karya Lestari, to the development of MSMEs in Hutaraja Village. The submission of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is considered to be in line with the South Tapanuli Regency Government program in the effort to develop regional MSMEs.
With these donations, the Regent hopes that MSMEs Pardede Tailor will grow bigger and empower the surrounding community more prosper.
